Leona “Binx” Walton may be all but 19, but she has been appointed the official new face of Italian shoe brand Superga’s Spring/Summer 2015 Campaign.
Hailed for her edgy androgynous mien paired with a devil-may-care attitude, Binx powered her way through the international fashion circuit and managed to cement her top-model status. Having walked the runway for an impressive string of high profile campaigns such as Hugo, DKNY, Coach, Alexander Wang and Chanel, the brunette beauty is set to further her passion for grunge fashion in Superga‘s latest campaign.
Having inspired thousands with her tomboy chic versatility, Binx is a perfect fit for Superga. She’s distinctly memorable, what with her waif-like appearance but tough off-duty variety. Teaming up with Superga for an exclusive shoot featuring the brand’s all-new collection, Binx brings an edgy rawness to the Italian brand’s coveted shoes, declaring that it’s been an honor to get a chance to design her own line for Superga.
“Their design team has really taken me in and let me take a huge part of this process,” she says. “I have always wanted to explore other aspects of the (fashion) industry, which is such a dream come true for me!” The Binx for Superga collaboration will extend beyond SS15 into AW15, for which she will be designing a collection of four styles. This will be her debut in product design, so keep a look out for it.
