Named the ‘Medusa Azul’, ‘Scorpius’, and ‘Rosewater’, Action Bronson is set to release his twist on the New Balance 1906r later this year.

After the initial successful launch of the Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6, the multi-talented American rapper-chef is set to release another collaboration with the Boston brand – putting his own twist on the ever-popular 1906r. Action Bronson has been posting teasers of the 1906r pack, consisting of 3 colorways named the ‘Medusa Azul’, ‘Scorpius’, and ‘Rosewater’. Each colorway of the sneaker is vastly different from the others, using contrasting color palettes on each pair. 

With the Action Bronson 990v6 ranking in the top 10 sneakers of 2023, we have high hopes that the 1906r will stand among the best sneakers to release this year.

Action Bronson

The ‘Medusa Azul’ colorway features varying hues of blue that are contrasted by hits of brown and black. Based on the caption on his Instagram post, the colorway takes inspiration from the Portuguese man o’ war, a deadly blue jellyfish found in the Pacific Ocean.

Action Bronson

The ‘Scorpius’ colorway features a flashy combination of yellow, green, and orange on the upper while having a dark grey midsole. As per Action Bronson, it was revealed that the ‘Scorpius’ colorway will be ultra-limited with the possibility of the release being limited to his own site and not available through general release.

Action Bronson

The ‘Rosewater’ colorway features a colorful upper with hits of pink, purple, white, and orange. It is also complemented by a colorful outsole consisting of brown, red, and blue. Referencing Action Bronson’s Instagram story, it was said that the pack was inspired by women’s colorways, where male sneakerheads would choose to purchase larger sizes of women’s shoes to rock the specific colorway.
