Inspired by the beauty of mosaics in the creative district of Manchester, the Manchester United away jersey for the 2019/20 season boasts a new aesthetic with an intricate pattern.
The influence of the Northern Quarter can be seen very clearly in the subtle pattern that overlays the muted base color. It represents the unique artwork of the mosaics that color the city, reflecting the culture of Manchester in a package that fuses both style and athletic function.
The muted savannah-toned colors are contrasted with three black stripes across the shoulders. The modern crew neck color, trimmed hem, and the monochrome club badge keep the jersey looking clean and simple enough be worn on the daily.
The kit is made entirely with Adidas’ Climalite technology, which wicks away sweat during play. This tried and tested technology keeps its wearers cool and prevents overheating when playing a match in sunny conditions.
The Manchester United players were joined by local artist Aitch to launch the new kit. Aitch, a Manchester local and fan of the club, wrote the rap featured in the video below and on Manchester United’s social media pages.
The Manchester United away jersey will be exclusively available at adidas.com.sg, and at Adidas stores at Suntec City, Marina Bay Sands and ION Orchard from July 19.
