Aries gives the New Balance 327 a full leather makeover. The luxurious kicks drop on November 6.

Aries and New Balance continue their partnership via a new 327. Unlike their previous collaborative New Balance 990v3 and 992, which were given bright luminescent colorways, Aries has opted for a more subtle approach when designing the New Balance 327.

In line with the trend of minimalist retros, Aries has given their ’70s-inspired 327 a full monotone upper—all-white, or all-black—on a full gum outsole.

Hits of red are found in the Aries branding on the midfoot and webbing details on the tongue and heel tab—both of which are inspired by the red football terraces of the ‘90s. Reflective accents on the forefoot, heel, laces and webbing complete the sport-inspired aesthetic.

Luxury comes in the form of a full tumbled leather upper. This gives the sneaker a premium feel and justifies the slightly higher price tag. Extra layers of leather are used to recreate the features usually seen on the GR 327s, like the lace eyelets, mudguard and mid foot “N” logo. These touches make the Aries x New Balance 327 a great alternative for those who missed out on the Casablanca 327.
