The Nike Sabrina 1 is Sabrina Ionescu’s first signature basketball shoe with Nike and it surely doesn’t disappoint. Built on the successes of the Kobe line, the Sabrina is a low-profile hoop sneaker that is meant for speedy and reactive play.
The Nike Sabrina 1 has been designed to support quick acceleration and enhance cutting. This is achieved using full-length Nike React cushioning and a top-loaded Nike Zoom Air unit in the forefoot. This provides energy return and responsiveness, while the stabilizing shank in the midfoot helps you keep your balance. Finally, the midfoot band system and lockdown cables help your feet remain secure, especially in the crucial moments of games.

It would not be a complete list without mentioning the Kobe 4 Protros ‘Mambacita’. A tribute to the late daughter of Kobe Bryant, Gigi Bryant, the Kobe 4 Protros ‘Mambacita’ arrived in Team Mamba colors as a nod to her AAU squad with her name and jersey number on the heel. Special Mambacity sockliners and “Gigi” aglets complete the sneaker. The sneaker dropped on her birthday May 1, 2023 with proceeds going to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
The Kobe 4 Protro is nearly identical to the original Kobe 4, which spells a similar feel underfoot and performance on-court. The Phylon midsole is slightly softer but overall, the midsole offers a very stable and low-profile ride. Combined with the durable first Gen Flywire midfoot setup and synthetic leathers, the Kobe 4 Protro is a comfortable and reliable sneaker for any game.

The Nike Air Deldon 1 is WNBA hooper Elena Delle Donne’s first signature basketball shoe. The Air Deldon 1 ‘WNBA Hoodie’ colorway is inspired by the iconic vibrant orange WNBA hoodie worn by the late Kobe and Gigi Bryant in support of the WNBA. This soon went viral with icons like Lebron James, Chris Paul and Naomi Osaka sporting the hoodie becoming the #1 apparel in the league’s history.
The sneaker sports adaptive features like a collapsible heel and a large strap that helps you secure the shoes with one hand. If you prefer a plush feel underfoot, the Nike Air Zoom GT Cut 2 is the perfect on-court sneaker. They are known for a very plush and bouncy cushioning, which is soft underfoot but sacrifices support, court feel and stability. It does offer a one-to-one fit, excellent impact protection, a breathable upper and durable outsole traction that can survive outdoor courts.
