Carhartt WIP Singapore flagship store has moved to a new retail space at #01-02 Scotts Square. The 1,125 sq. foot retail space is designed by Milan-based architecture studio, Andrea Caputo. The interiors boast industrial elements like Bardiglio Grigio marble, cedar and walnut lacquered finishes, polished aluminum and galvanized zinc.
The interior design references the American brand’s workwear history. The retail space is covered in pipe shelving and exposed neutral concrete surfaces. Completing the decor is the iconic ‘C’ logo alongside seasonal campaign artworks that adorn the walls. The functional and utilitarian design of the space is a nod to the brand’s ethos – tough workwear that lasts, balanced with refined design and style that remains true to the origins.
Carhartt WIP drops a limited-edition tee to mark the opening of the new flagship store. A simple text print is applied to the front of the t-shirt while the back comes with a bold graphic of Singapore’s national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid – a nod to the city-state’s reputation as a ‘garden city’. The bold colors of the flower are inspired by the country’s multicultural heritage.
