Converse Weapon CX Singapore Drop Set For Late 2021

Once upon a time, the Converse Weapon was the dominant sneaker on the NBA courts. Close to 40 years after its debut, Converse is reviving it as the Weapon CX which drops in Singapore later in 2021.

2021 update: It’s quite clear at first glance, but the Converse Weapon has been given a modern redesign. The changes come on both the design and technology front.

The Weapon gets a midsole overhaul using Converse’s new proprietary cushioning technology, CX. This offers a more plush midsole feel and a soft construction on the upper.

Modernizing the Weapon’s design is the chunkier midsole that offers a double-layered look. It also contains the CX cushioning, so it is both a form and functional update.

Some things never change: The Converse Weapon CX retains the upper of the originals ‘80s sneaker which includes the full leather upper and iconic “Y-bar” ankle collar that offered leading stability back in the day.

The Converse Weapon CX drops alongside two other sneakers. The Run Star Motion CX drops on June 16 at Converse.com while the Chuck Taylor All Star CX and Aeon CX drop in late 2021.
