The New Balance Protection Pack offers the New Balance 1906R in three new colorways. Two colorways have already been revealed, and they are Navy Black and Cream Black. The Navy Black features navy blue and grey uppers with black details on top of off-white midsoles, while the Cream Black is decked out in beige uppers paired with black midsoles and outsoles. Signature Protection Pack stylings consisting of a mesh base layered with irregularly ripped-up suedes are applied to these two colorways.
There’s a third “Grey Black” colorway in the works. This was revealed in recently posted images by @woganwodeyang. This one comes with grey suede and white mesh uppers, and is finished with a black heel cage and similar stylings as its two other siblings.
The Protection Pack style was first unveiled in April this year, by way of the New Balance 2002r which has been making waves in the sneaker world. Colorways like the Rain Cloud, Arctic Grey Purple and Phantom are highly coveted and continue to resell for well over retail price. With Teddy Santis at the helm as NB’s creative director, the Protection Pack series is one to watch out for.
The NB 1906R Protection Pack is set to release sometime in the last quarter of this year. These pairs will only set you back upwards of US$150 (approx. S$210). Stay tuned for more information.
