Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE III "Homage"

Concluding a year’s worth of GEL-LYTE III celebrations, the Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE III “Homage” is a mashup of Fieg’s previous collabs.

Ronnie Fieg has undoubtedly played a big role in ASICS Tiger’s popularity, as seen by his staggering list of 25 past collaborations on the GEL-LYTE III. Wrapping up the sneaker’s 25^th anniversary celebrations, Fieg created a mismatched, asymmetrical pair of shoes that took inspiration from 13 of his previous efforts on the iconic silhouette.

The resulting sneakers are distinctive-looking, with no two panels that are alike. Fieg carefully selected the designs based on what materials and colorways could match well, and those who have been following his work closely will no doubt see the references to the GEL-LYTE IIIs that he’s produced to date.

Admittedly, the sneakers may not be everyone’s cup of tea, and we imagine this to be more of a collector’s item than something we’d actually wear out. Nonetheless, it’s worth gunning for if you’re looking to complete your collection of 25^th anniversary collabs, or if you dig the mismatched colors.

The Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE III “Homage” will be released online on December 23^rd, 11am EST (that’s December 24th, midnight SGT). Each pair comes with a custom box that houses the shoes, a copy of Ronnie Fieg’s first authored book, also titled Homage, 17 enamel pins, 13 sets of laces, 13 pairs of Stance socks and a swatch ring of every material used on the shoes.

Singapore will also be releasing the shoes on December 26^th, at a retail price of S$349. But instead of having all the frills thrown in, the Singapore version only comes in a regular box and five extra sets of laces.
