ASICS Tiger dives into the new year with bold, expressive designs. Highlights of the range includes new shoes with ‘EVOLUTION’ and ASICS GEL technology. 


Hot off the heels of a successful year for ASICS Tiger comes the release of a campaign video that showcases what the brand has in store for Spring/Summer 2016.

This year, while style and colors make bold statements, fans can expect the same ASICS performance standards they have grown accustomed to.

New colorways and designs will be rolled out throughout the year via three core silhouettes that aim to meld Japanese heritage with modern flair – GEL-KAYANO TRAINER EVO, GEL-LYTE III and GEL-LYTE ONE EIGHTY.

While the former two silhouettes are not new to the market, slight tweaks will be made to them for 2016. The GEL-KAYANO TRAINER EVO draws inspiration from the Japanese art of origami with its subtle lines and technical construction with intricate detailing. This year’s iteration of the ever-popular GEL-LYTE III “pays homage to the future with an industrial look inspired by space-aged rockets and aircraft”, according to a press release.

The GEL-LYTE ONE EIGHTY, a brand new model, aims to represent the cross between the ASICS Tiger and ASICS performance footwear. The brand has dubbed it “the shoe of 2020” and hopes it will introduce a new standard of performance to the ASICS Tiger brand.

The GEL-KAYANO TRAINER EVO, GEL-LYTE III and GEL-LYTE ONE EIGHTY will be available for purchase at select retailers and online beginning Spring 2016. No firm dates have been released; stay tuned for more updates.
