Singapore artist Nadirah Abdul Razak (Inkten) presents her graduating show, Re:Calibrate, as part of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) graduation show.
This Saturday, May 10th, Singapore artist Inkten presents her graduation show, Re:Calibrate, as part of the NTU ADM Grad Show 2014.
Re:Calibrate presents pseudo-functional inventions meant to help camouflage the urban street artist while enabling the act of urban art-making to move into new realms of performance. Inventions include wearables, tools, weapons and accessories tailored to making the urban mark maker effectively invisible while he goes about his or her work.
The NTU ADM Grad Show is a showcase of ideas from its graduating batch of students. This year’s show centers on the theme of the rubber band. A rubber band is a simple object that could represent many things. Its adaptive nature allows it to stretch and take on any shape: shapes that are limited only by one’s imagination.
