If you’re not fussy, the Air Jordan 1 Dark Mocha, which bears uncanny resemblance to the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1, is a more affordable alternative. The sneaker drops on November 20.

Nike has been breathing new life into its range of retro Air Jordan sneakers. Sneakers like the Air Jordan 1 Lucky Green, Air Jordan 3 Laser Orange and Air Jordan 3 Fire Red are given familiar colorways but with a modern twist by way of new pops of color or fabric.

Next in line is the Air Jordan 1 Dark Mocha — a reinterpretation of the classic “Black Toe” color blocking; these also happen to resemble closely the Travis Scott x Nike Air Jordan 1.

Intentional or not, these, like La Flame’s AJ1, get brown nubuck on the ankle collar, white tumbled leather in the toe box and midfoot panels, white nylon tongue and a black Swoosh.

What’s different on the Dark Mocha are the black leather panels around the toebox and eyelets, and of course, the absence of Travis’ reverse Swoosh and Cactus Jack branding on the medial side.

Priced at S$239, the AJ1 Dark Mocha is a good alternative for those who scored an L on the Travis Scott AJ1s and can’t bear to fork out US$1,775 (approx. S$2,385.25) at resale.
