Nike Joyride
August 15
Nike recently unveiled the Joyride, its latest cushioning technology that uses thousands of plastic and rubber hybrid beads to enable greater impact absorption. The Nike Joyride will come in a number of iterations, with the upcoming NSW Setter model – dubbed the “muscle car” of the lineup – presenting an aggressive option. Among the features include a sock-like textured upper, sturdy rubber eyelets and supportive stability patch overlays. Plus, what separates the NSW Setter from the original iteration is the tuning of the Joyride technology, distributed across three different cushioning pods. The sneaker drops on August 15, retailing at £160 (approx. S$268).

Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 L.A to Chicago
August 16
Following the first wear-to-reveal Air Jordan 1 High silhouette in a light bone colorway that was released in May, Nike SB and Air Jordan have another one in the works. This time, the sneakers will come bearing the Los Angeles Lakers color scheme with a white toe box and side panels with purple overlays. Completing the Lakers theme are yellow-colored swooshes and ankle collars. Here’s the cool bit: the sneaker will wear away to reveal the much revered white and red Chicago colorway. The collaboration with Nike SB also means the sneaker is fitted with zoom insoles for extra cushioning. Trash these hard enough at a skate sesh and you might end up with the Chicago colorway in no time. Hit the link below to raffle for the sneaker, priced at S$269.

Air Jordan 1 Retro Satin Black Toe
August 17
You’d think that Jordan Brand has conveniently recycled this popular OG colorway wrapped in premium tumbled leathers. But take a closer look and the bright red paneling particularly stands out, coming in a textile material that gives off a sleek satin sheen. Further upgrades include a metal ball-and-wings logo – originally embossed on the ankle. Unfortunately, the ladies will be the ones rocking up in these, as the Air Jordan 1 Retro Satin Black Toe will only be available in women’s sizes.

Asics x Vivienne Westwood
August 17
Asics and Vivienne Westwood deliver yet another sneaker collaboration merging both their heritage, history and a penchant for quality craftsmanship and innovation. The latest collection features three Asics running silhouettes, but the HyperGel-Lyte truly steals the show. The British fashion house saved the HyperGel-Lyte for its loudest reinterpretation. The sneaker’s upper comes adorned in classic artwork inspired by the French artist François Boucher. Loaded with details that are as timeless as actual works of art on canvas, the Asics x Vivienne Westwood HyperGel-Lyte is definitely one pair you can marvel at any time, any day.
