The new Air Force 1 carries signature design elements found in the Ambush x Nike Dunk High. In the Instagram post by Yoon, the sneaker features the same tailpipe Swoosh that extends beyond the heel of the sneaker, reinforced heel cap and ankle color and the unmistakable Ambush branded heel clip.

Chicago team colors give the sneaker a retro look that is sure to be a hit. Simple as it is, the timeless combination of white leather and deep red paneling sat atop a cream midsole and color-matched red outsole is sure to be well received by sneakerheads – just like its Dunk predecessor. We can expect resale prices to be well above retail, just as the Ambush Dunk Highs (currently priced at S$290 for the Deep Royal colorway; S$590 for the Black/White pairs; S$281 for the bold Flash Lime variant).

The Chicago colorway might be part of a three-sneaker drop. Leaks from sneaker insider page, @wxj6550822, have revealed two other colorways. One places black tailpipe Swooshes and accents on an off-white leather base while the other is an inverted combination matching white Swooshes on black leather. These images give a better look at the laces which are adorned with a special “AF1” dubrae and co-branded tabs on the exposed-foam tongues. In terms of packaging, the sneaker looks to arrive in a black box with Ambush branding on the side panels.

Not much else is known about the release of the Ambush x Nike Air Force 1. Rumors currently speculate that the sneaker is part of the Swoosh’s celebration of the silhouette’s 40th anniversary. As such, we can expect the sneaker to drop sometime this year. Stay tuned for more updates.
