Adidas 4D 1.0 January 23
More often than not, we take the brilliance of technology for granted when it becomes available for the masses. A prime example is Adidas’ revolutionary 4D printed soles. Once so elusive and virtually unattainable, these futuristic midsoles slowly found its way on a number of Adidas’ lineup of sneakers – a clear intent by the brand to equip the world with its most jarring tech yet. While mass appeal has been underwhelming compared to its initial hype, there’s no reason to not admire the all-new Adidas 4D 1.0. At S$339, you’re looking at the cheapest rendition fitted with the 4D printed soles.
The Air Jordan 1 Low lineup is fast expanding, with new colorways popping up with some regularity. The trend will likely continue into 2020 with the latest “Pine Green” iteration offering a clean and casual option from the highly-popular high-top model. Retailing at just S$159, these are definitely worth the cop.
The latest Bape x Dr Martens 1460 boot marks the fourth collaboration between the two brands. And the iconic details packed in this collaboration is nothing short of spectacular to commemorate the 1460 silhouette’s 60th anniversary. Hardcore Bape and streetwear fans will no doubt recognize Bape’s signature camo and unmistakable “Bapesta” branding emblazoned on the sides. The iconic ape head also appears on the boot’s dubraes and secondary heel tabs to cap off a stunning collab. Whether you’re copping one to collect or wear on a daily basis, at S$249, you’re not exactly breaking the bank for this iconic masterpiece.
Chinatown Market moves away from its DIY aesthetic and parody logos for its latest collaboration sneakers with Puma. Taking on the Future Rider, a classic sports icon, the streetwear label embraces a clean aesthetic this time that features minimal co-branding and a simple two-colorway range. With its translucent TPE uppers lined with premium suede and leather, the sneakers definitely have a luxurious feel. You can consider this the cheaper and more attainable alternative to the covetable Nike x Sacai LDV Waffle. Plus you’ll only need to splash out S$155 for a pair.
Basketball runs deep in the DNA of Converse and French sportswear brand Pigalle. This year, the two have come together for a special two-colorway sneaker collection to commemorate their shared passion for the game as well as Pigalle’s opening of its second imaginative basketball court in Beijing. The collab reworks the iconic Converse Chuck 70 Ox with a colorful option that’s true to Pigalle’s signature French flair while the other pair combines a minimalist outlook with hits of bold detailing. Both iterations feature film-coated uppers and lightning patterns across the uppers finished off with eye-catching gradient outsoles. The Pigalle x Converse Chuck 70 Ox drops this Saturday, January 25, retailing at S$155 each.
