Converse gets personal in its Spring 2015 campaign, “Made By You”, by putting the focus on the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star and its legions of loyal fans.
Converse has launched the ‘Made By You’ Spring 2015 campaign to celebrate fans and loyal wearers of the brand’s iconic Chuck Taylor All Star over the past decade.
To put the ‘Made By You’ campaign together, Converse scoured the globe to collect beloved and distinctly personal Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers, each of which tells a story of transformation from blank canvas to a self-portrait of their owner.
The Singapore leg of the campaign an exhibition of Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers belonging to people in the likes of musician-actor Benjamin Kheng from local folk-pop band, The Sam Willows, as well as Yoyo Cao, a style icon and owner of Exhibitstore. The exhibition is on from now till April 15th at Bugis Junction, in front of Hotel Intercontinental.
Store discounts are also given to sneakerheads who enter their worn Chuck Taylor All Star at a one-day only pop-up Photo Booth at the exhibition on April 11th.
There’s no doubting the Chuck Taylor All Star’s influence on style and culture. The silhouette that debuted in 1917 as a basketball sneaker has, over time, become synonymous with a wide range of individuals from rockstars to artists, and even skateboarders.
