No definitive date has been set yet for the opening of Dover Street Market, but the news has got us all excited already.
Dempsey Road, also known as Dempsey Hill or Tanglin Village, will see multi-label boutique Dover Street Market joining its ranks of retail and food and beverage outlets following the results of a redevelopment tender.
To be specific, Blocks 17 and 18 have been awarded to COMO Lifestyle, a subsidiary of Club 21, which outlined a new concept known as “COMO Dempsey” in its proposal. Its plans include setting up Dover Street Market, a successful retail concept that’s established itself in London, New York, and Ginza, as well as several restaurants and bars that will up the ante of the area’s lifestyle options.
If the offerings at Dover Street Market’s present stores are anything to go by, it’s a safe bet that collections from notable fashion labels, like Comme des Garçons and Visvim, will be available here.
We’ll also be keeping our fingers crossed that a fine selection of sneakers will be brought in as well, giving local sneakerheads another place to hang out at when limited releases are launched.
