Instagram adds a new feature called Instagram Stories, which Snapchat junkies will find all too familiar.
Instagram Stories, a Snapchat-like function, has drawn reactions from the Internet even before it’s been fully rolled out.
The photo-sharing app owned by Facebook now lets users post pictures and video slideshows, complete with text and drawings, that last for 24 hours.
These moments will be visible via a bar at the top of the feed, where people who post stories will have their profile photo highlighted.
Very creative, except that it’s essentially a clone of what Snapchat does. Lest you forget, Facebook wanted to acquire Snapchat for US$3 billion in 2013, but was promptly rejected.
As with all other major happenings, Internet users have chimed in with their views on this new feature:
Snapchat, you stay. Instagram Stories,
you must immediately return to the loft,
pack your belongings and go home. pic.twitter.com/ZpmJKtes0a
