After years of being the go-to site for pirated content, KickassTorrents finally bites the dust.
He faces a number of charges in connection with KickassTorrents. Among them are conspiracy to commit criminal copyright infringement, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and two counts of criminal copyright infringement.
The material on the website is valued at over US$1 billion, and at its peak, the domain received over 50 million unique hits a month. It even ranked as the 69th most visited website in the world, and until Vaulin’s arrest, efforts to bring the site down were futile.
