Kult Gallery’s The $200 Show wants to prove that you don’t need to drop a load of cash for art.
The exhibition will showcase a number of pieces from the gallery’s archives, including original Kult pieces, silkscreen and risograph prints, art on vinyl and resin-cast sculptures from notable Singaporean and international artists.
Participating artists include Kimiaki Yaegashi, Taj Tenfold, Eric Foenander and Russell Taysom.

You have the Gallery’s word that the exhibition won’t turn out to be some stuffy affair. In a press release, its curators promise “a lowbrow atmosphere that proves art too is entertainment, meant to be experienced and enjoyed by everyone.”
Kult Gallery will also be selling its in-house art publication, Kult Magazine, at S$20 for any 3 issues (usually priced at S$8 per issue).
The $200 Show exhibition will be launched on two dates, Thursday, April 6, and Friday, April 7, from 11am to 10pm. Those who visit the exhibition on April 6 and 7 can enjoy drinks at happy hour prices at Kult Kafe next door, from 5pm onward.
