Update: March 23, 5:10pm (Singapore time)
The drop date for the Levi’s x New Balance 1300 has been pushed back to April 24.
Levi’s and New Balance, giants in their respective fields, have come together on a sneaker made using some of the best fabrics and craftsmanship available. This unlikely collaboration has yielded the Levi’s x New Balance 1300, a celebration of its 35th anniversary and epitome of sneaker construction.
The sneaker is made from a mix of classic denim blue panels and light brown suede with orange leather accents. The denim panels seen on the toe box and heel accents are made from deadstock White Oak XX52 denim, which is a super rare form of selvedge denim that is made in the US. Levi’s has a very limited stockpile of this denim as the White Oak Mill that makes it shut down in 2017. So, you are basically getting one of the most exclusive denim fabrics in this sneaker.
Alongside the denim is Levi’s back patch-colored suede, which adds a soft lush feel to the shoe. The whole sneaker is constructed in Skowhegan, Maine by New Balance’s American team of shoemakers – so expect the build quality to be superb.
The sneaker boasts many fine details, such as the orange Levi’s tab on the lateral side, a special White Oak label on the tongue and a “Levi’s for feet” hangtag. The pair is packed in a special collector’s box that matches the colorway of the sneaker – brown and denim blue.
The Levi’s x New Balance 1300 will drop in very limited quantities, making them some of the most exclusive sneakers of 2020, besides the 1300JP. Cop them from 26th March for S$359 at the New Balance Jewel Changi, New Balance Paragon, Limited Edt Vault 313@Somerset, Leftfoot Cathay and NewBalance.com.sg.
