New Balance has announced the release of another M1300JP, which is major news given that the sneaker only drops every five years. “The Made in Japan” sneaker elevates the retro 1300 silhouette, staying true to the original sneaker while providing a luxurious, handcrafted feel.
The M1300JP’s upper is fully constructed out of nubuck leather sourced from Japan’s leading tanner that has been in the business for over 100 years. The sneaker sticks to the classic “Steel Blue” colorway, featuring a mix of dark grey and blues all across the upper, all of which sits atop a durable Vibram midsole. On the inside, the sneaker is fitted with a white leather sock liner and insole.
The sneaker comes packaged in a special edition box and an exclusive M1300JP shoe tree. This complete package retails for a very steep 74,800 yen (approx. S$969.15). Unfortunately, these are sold via ballot exclusive to buyers in Japan only – find out more on newbalance.jp.
