Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit Now Comes in Mid-Cut Style

Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit Now Comes in Mid-Cut Style

The Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit is a major upgrade from the original Air Presto, a form-fitting footwear that burst into the scene at the turn of the millennium.

The new Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit retains the original Air Presto’s unique sizing, comfort and sock-like construction, with the addition of Flyknit technology.

Flyknit is applied to the shoe’s adaptable upper. There’s also ventilation in the shoe tongue and toe as well as support in the heel and underneath the toe cap.

The TPU cage has been re-engineered to fit the Flyknit upper, while the ultra tooling with rubber in high-contact wear areas improves comfort and durability.

For the first time ever, the Air Presto Ultra Flyknit gets the mid-cut treatment with the addition of a Flyknit stretch collar.

Apart from its unique sock-like construction, the original Air Presto stood out for its unconventional size run from Extra Small to Extra Large.

While people weren’t used to buying sneakers in sizes that were anything else but numbers at first, Nike managed to turn things around with a clever tagline: “T-shirt for the Foot”.

The tagline promoted the unique selling point of the Air Presto’s expandable upper and therefore added versatility where it came to fitting. Doubts about the Air Presto were addressed, and it soon became an icon in its own right.

Retailing at S$265, the Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit is now available at Seek ION Orchard (2 Orchard Turn, #B4-23/24, Singapore 238801).
