The Nike Free 2014 Running Collection comprising the Nike Free 3.0 Flyknit, Nike Free 4.0 Flyknit and Nike Free 5.0 feature natural motion advancements in the Nike Free since its 2004 launch.
The Nike Free 2014 running collection comprising the Nike Free 3.0 Flyknit, Nike Free 4.0 Flyknit and Nike Free 5.0 – is the result of a successful study of the foot in motion.
While runners move forward, their feet don’t move in a perfectly straight line – they tend to roll slightly when striking the ground. With that knowledge and other data gathered from Nike’s sport research lab and insights from athletes, Nikeformed its first-ever outsole with a hexagonal flex-groove pattern, delivering multi-directional flexibility, enabling the runner’s foot to move more freely in all directions.
The shoes in the Nike Free 2014 running collection focus heavily on the feet, and rightfully so. Each shoe sports a more anatomically-shaped heel, designed to roll as the athlete’s foot hits the ground. The shoes mimic closely the shape of the foot, allowing the foot and body to move more naturally. Not forgetting the ultra-light Nike Flyknit technology, which provides a supportive, breathable, contoured fit in the Nike Free 3.0 Flyknit and Free 4.0 Flyknit.
The collection gives runners the freedom to choose their desired level of flexibility and how close to the ground they want to be. The Nike Free 3.0 Flyknit offers the most flexibility and a four-millimeter heel-to-forefoot offset, the Nike Free 4.0 Flyknit provides flexibility with more cushioning at a six-millimeter offset, and with an eight-millimeter offset, the Nike Free 5.0 is a happy medium between natural flexibility and a traditional running shoe.
The Nike Free 2014 running collection will be available in Singapore in April. Check back for exact date(s) of release.
