Taking a break from all the recent Flyknit, Pegasus and Roshe releases, here’s the latest Nike Pre Montreal Racer in “Newsprint & Sail” colorway.

Steve Prefontaine was the first major track athlete endorsed by Nike and the Nike Pre Montreal Racer was the signature shoe created in his name, which he sported for all his races beginning 1972.
The latest iteration of the Nike Pre Montreal Racer, which comes in “Newsprint & Sail” colorway, is reaffirmation that retro shoes are not losing their edge to newer releases.
Once a pinnacle of innovation in the 1970s, the Racer evolves to stay relevant in 2013 with clean lines to match current trends. Newsprint grey makes the suede uppers, while complemented by sail coloured lining and swoosh for a vintage looking running shoe. The Racers are then finished off with a pure-white midsole and waffle outsole.
