Nike taps British athlete Mo Farah for its latest app update

Nike+ Run Club updates such as auto guided runs and elevation tracking were announced on Nike.com, September 12.

The app allows users to track their running progress when exercising with a smartphone or an Apple Watch.

Updates include auto guided runs, voiced by celebrities such as comedian Kevin Hart and athlete Mo Farah and virtual cheering. According to Nike, auto guided runs will provide users with tips and motivation from Nike approved trainers.

While virtual cheering allows the user’s friends to share encouraging words such as “you’re flying” or even a virtual first bump.

Additional updates include a history feature, which stores the details of the last five runs along with an elevation feature tracking the total altitude achieved during your runs.
