It wasn’t too long ago that we covered the opening of the Staple Pop-Up Shop in the heart of Singapore, so it was a pleasant surprise when Staple Singapore announced in mid November that the Pop-Up Shop will become Reed Space Singapore, an extension of the original retail/creative space in New York founded by Jeffstaple.
Judging by the turnout at the opening ceremony last Thursday, it’s safe to say that Reed Space will make its mark on Singapore and the region. The event was graced by actress Mindee Ong, DJ Tang from AOS Collective and DJs from Matteblacc. Those present were treated to a glimpse of what Reed Space entails, with a hair and fashion show and art from the Angry Hedonist, Porukadotto and Zaphs Zhang on display.
What makes Reed Space stand out is its range of products, such as shoes from Los Angeles brand CLAE, fragrance and bath brand retaW, and the full range from Staple. Thanks also to a collaboration with Hairloom, you won’t have to hunt for a place to pamper your hair. Just leave it to the experts at the in-house saloon, who are at the forefront of the latest hair trends.
Reed Space looks set to pave the way for streetwear and fashion to become one of Singapore’s highlights, so check it out!
