Those who didn’t manage to cop Ronnie Fieg’s Kith-exclusive ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE III “Cockatoo Green” will be green with envy, and for good reason.
Word on the street is that the upcoming re-release of the Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE III and GEL-LYTE 3.1 “Super Green” is going to be huge.
To tease further, Fieg announced that he would be dropping an in-store and online surprise so loyal customers can get their “Super Green” prior to the official public release.
Well, the online surprise came in the form of a Kithstrike, Fieg’s equivalent of a Quickstrike that took place just hours ago.
The Kith-exclusive “Cockatoo Green” was put up for sale on the Kith store for US$120 and buyers of the “Cockatoo Green” were also given the opportunity to pre-order the highly anticipated “Super Green” collection:

While the Kithstrike is a great way for Kith fans to get first dibs on the “Super Green”, the resellers have plenty to benefit from this too.
By buying the “Cockatoo Green”, resellers also stand a chance to get their hands on some of the 700 pairs of “Super Green” slated for release this weekend.
As it stands, a quick search on the Internet reveals the “Cockatoo Green” is going for an average of US$200 a pop on the resale market.

Needless to say, genuine buyers who want a piece of the extremely limited “Super Green” will find it more difficult to cop the shoes. But hey, it’s all good business for Kith.
But that’s just the online surprise. As for the in-store surprise, nobody knows yet what it will be. Given the way the Kithstrike happened, all we can say is to expect the unexpected.
