The Limited Edt x SBTG x New Balance is launching the ‘Urban Islander’ capsule featuring a militarized 327 on October 15.

New Balance and Limited Edt have come together to release a capsule with New Balance titled ‘Urban Islander’. The streetwear icons developed the capsule based on Singapore’s unique landscape as an urbanized tropical getaway. The capsule consists of a rugged Limited Edt x SBTG x New Balance 327 and 900 sandals. Also part of the capsule are shirts, a towel and a tote bag. The full “Urban Islander” capsule will drop on October 15.

The collection draws inspiration from Singapore, home of Limited Edt and the SBTG brand. “The ‘Urban Islander’ collection is inspired by our beautiful country, which is both a metropolitan city and a tropical island. I wanted to transfer the unique feelings and impressions from the opposite spectrums onto this collaborative project, hence the name ‘Urban Islander’.”, said Mr Sabotage. Emulating the country’s blend of tropical beaches and developed urban landscapes, the collection showcases prints that feature an eclectic mix of earthy tones, bright city colors, pineapple prints and leopard spots.

The most notable piece in the collection is the Limited Edt x SBTG x New Balance 327. It exemplifies the long-standing friendship between Mark Ong and Mandeep Chopra, the founder of Limited Edt. It sports a blacked-out EVA midsole and dark suede panels all across the upper—a signature design cue seen on prior Limited Edt x New Balance collaborations. Mr. Sabotage incorporates his classic military flair in the form of a functional lace strap on the tongue, tropical prints on the midfoot panels and a redesigned insole.

The “Urban Islander” capsule by Limited Edt and SBTG includes the New Balance 327 (S$189), 900 sandals with socks (S$159), towels (S$39), totes (S$79) and shirts in two colorways (S$89 each). The full collection drops on October 15 at Limited Edt Chamber and on sbtgsurplus.com.
