SBTG’s latest collaboration with Palladium Boots marries the former’s knack for military-inspired themes with the latter’s aviation roots and heritage boots.
Homegrown artist SBTG brings his love for all things military to the shoes of heritage boot brand Palladium Boots in its Spring/Summer 2015 collection. The partnership between the two entities sees SBTG’s signature “Parsillia” camo pattern screen-printed on Palladium’s Pampa Oxford, Pampa Hi and Baggy boots – silhouettes that feature 12-ounce cotton canvas combined with an EVA-injected midsole.
The beginnings of the collaboration can be traced to the end of 2013, when Hommy Diaz, Global Product Director at Palladium and a friend of SBTG, suggested working on a collection together. SBTG agreed and the rest, as they say, is history. “I love the look of the Palladium boot and its olive color. The brand’s aviation roots and subsequent evolution also resonates seamlessly with me. I didn’t want to change their classic look, yet I wanted my own signature touches on the classics. Hence we did a subtle, tone-on-tone pattern on the shoes,” said SBTG.
Prices for the SBTG x Palladium collection will range from S$99 and S$119, and buyers from Singapore can make their shoes truly unique with stenciling from SBTG’s iD service. The SBTG x Palladium boot capsule collection will be available from March 2015 at Palladium flagship stores, specialty retailers worldwide and online.
Also on the cards is a soon-to-be-released short film under Palladium’s Explorer Series, which will show how Singapore and its skating culture has inspired SBTG over the years. Be sure to keep a look out for it in the weeks to come.
