In a recent Instagram post, Sean Wotherspoon expressed his appreciation to all the brands that have worked with him – Nike, Asics and…Adidas? But we have only ever seen his work with Nike and Asics. Take a closer look at the photo and you’ll notice a shoe that we’ve never seen before.

Spotted it? At the top right corner, hidden under a cork-printed insole with “Earth” written across it, is a white sneaker. The silhouette bears a striking resemblance to the Adidas Superstar or Stan Smith. In the shot, we can see that the sneaker has leather uppers — a first for the corduroy-loving designer — with a baby blue eyelet panel and a white tongue. The tongue seems to bear a new logo to marks this collaboration. The lateral side has red, black and green flowers embroidered into the leather.

In a follow-up post, he explained his collaboration with Adidas a little more. It seems to be an environmentally conscious collab that is 100% vegan-friendly. The laces are made from 100% recycled paper, with a cork insole laid over recycled composite padding, a rubber outsole made from recycled rubber and a sock liner made from recycled ortholite. It’s in this second post that we get a closer look at the collab’s logo and see its name for the first time – “Super Earth” by Sean Wotherspoon.
At the moment there has been no additional information about the sneaker or official images of the shoe. Stay tuned for more updates.
