The Wtaps x Dr Martens 1460 is a remastered rendition of the classic Dr Martens boot, sporting updates that fall in line with the Japanese label’s aesthetic. The updates, though major, do not mess with the boot’s classic silhouette.
For one, the classic laces have been replaced. In its place are elasticized bootstraps that cut across the midfoot. The nylon webbing, buckles and straps have been color-matched to the rest of the black leather upper, allowing them to blend in.
Branding comes in the form of technical specifications embossed onto the side of the ankle collar and an exposed steel toe caps that are engraved with Wtaps logos. Completing the boot is Dr Marten’s signature AirWair midsole, which means these are comfortable enough for all-day wear.
Wtaps’ updates make their 11th Dr Martens collaboration easy to slip on and off, but it is still distinctly a 1460 – retaining the footwear’s signature combat-ready aesthetic. The Wtaps x Dr Martens 1460 Remastered drops on November 28.
