Fans of the Kanye West-designed sneaker will need to have more than a grand to spare if they wanna cop a pair on the resale market.
Despite being available at numerous retailers worldwide, the adidas Originals Yeezy Boost 350 “Black” sneakers that were released last Saturday got snapped up in an instant. No surprises there.
But those who throng the resale market for a pair of the Yeezy Boost will be in for a shock when they digest some of the resale prices on sites like eBay.
User marviinlopez6 put up his size 10 pair with an asking price of US$20,000. No explanation given for the exorbitant price, save for this one-liner – “She said ‘sell them'”. The next highest price comes from italianattitude7, who is selling his Yeezy Boost for US$5,000.
Some users, like tyle-fensl, created an auction for the sneakers with a starting price of just one cent. Bidding has gone up to US$315 as of now, but it’s yet to meet the seller’s reserve price and will unlikely be sold at such a steal.
Times like these, we wish we were part of the Kardashian/Jenner klan, sauntering around in the kicks without having to fork out a cent.
