YouTube goes back to its cover song roots with its latest series, Best.Cover.Ever..
Radio personality and television host Ryan Seacrest is co-producing a new singing competition with YouTube and production company Endelmon Shrine, reports The Verge.
Hosted by rapper Ludacris, this YouTube-exclusive series will feature a roster of musicians as they mentor a group of aspiring singers.
The participants will be required to cover songs of the musicians’ choosing, and the best two will get to appear on the show. The eventual winner will receive a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to record a duet with one of the musicians.
Those interested in participating simply have to record a video of themselves singing “Confident” by Demi Lovato, “As Long As You Love Me” by Backstreet Boys, or “Trumpets” by Jason Derulo.
Submissions are open until Friday, May 19. To find out more about this YouTube-exclusive series, please visit TheBestCoverEver.com.
