Fashion’s biggest names packed the iconic Royal Albert Hall on December 10.
The awards night, organized in partnership with Swarovski, shimmered like no other. The attendance list was glowing: think star-studded guests such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, David and Victoria Beckham, Kendall Jenner, and even Lil Miquela, the Instagram personality.
The crowd may have glammed up the night, but it’s the winners who stole the limelight. The most notable award recipient was the founder of A-COLD-WALL*, Samuel Ross. The designer picked up the British Emerging Talent Menswear award, summing up the brand’s meteoric rise in the fashion scene this year.
Virgil Abloh’s Off-White, on the other hand, took home the Urban Luxe award for the second year running. The award is one of few that celebrates international brands and Virgil snagged the awards from under the noses of Matthew William’s red-hot label, Alyx, as well as streetwear mainstay, Supreme.
Dior’s menswear designer, Kim Jones, received the 2018 Trailblazer award, befitting of the man with the Midas touch – everything he touched turned to gold. From that Supreme x Louis Vuitton collaboration back when he was at the French house to his recent scintillating showcase for Dior created in partnership with Hajime Sorayama.
