The drops include some NMDs as well as the ASICS Tiger GEL-LYTE III and GEL-LYTE V. Don’t sleep.
The “KURO” GEL-LYTE III and “MURASAKI” GEL-LYTE V are follow-ups to the first shoe of the ASICS Tiger x Limited Edt VANDA series.
Both the “KURO” and “MURASAKI” feature the VANDA motif, inspired by the Vanda ‘Miss Joaquim’ (Singapore’s national flower) that was created in 2015 to commemorate Singapore’s 50th year of independence by Singapore’s premier sneaker store, Limited Edt.
The “KURO” (“black” in Japanese) is a GEL-LYTE III with the orchid print laser etched on premium black leather upper. Gold brass on the heel cup, reflective ASICS stripes, a mix of gold/copper/dark gray on the upper, and a speckled midsole lend the sneaker a sophisticated touch.
The “MURASAKI” (“purple” in Japanese) is a GEL-LYTE V with pops of purple, light blue and yellow for greater contrast against the black premium leather found on the toe and heel. The colorful shoe also feature the VANDA motif and comes with three sets of laces: black, yellow and light blue.
The “KURO” (S$269) and “MURASAKI” (S$229) will be available in Singapore at Limited Edt on March 24. Each comes in a special box set seen in pictures above.
adidas Consortium and Swiss sneaker store, Titolo, partner up on an NMD XR1 Trail. The colorway of this impeccable sneaker – powder white and icy blue – was inspired by snow and glaciers found in the natural landscape of Switzerland.
A closer inspection reveals more to this shoe than its white-out appearance might suggest. For instance, a loose gauge pattern in the sneaker’s Primerknit upper and perforated leather details reflect the tessellations and sweeping, ever-changing corrugations of the surface of the snowscape. An asymmetric overlay resembles a snow coated ridge in the sunlight. The shoe captures the dramatic landscape of Switzerland in a subtle, understated, and wearable way.
The adidas Consortium x Titolo NMD XR1 Trail will be available in Singapore at Limited Edt on March 25. Each pair retails at S$299.
adidas Originals has partnered renowned Japanese fashion brand and retailer United Arrows & Sons on a capsule collection of footwear and apparel. Up and coming typographer, MIKITYPE, was also roped in to provide the text graphic seen on the apparel and footwear of the collection, which reads “United Arrows & Sons” and “adidas Originals” in Katakana.
The footwear applies United Arrows & Sons’ understated aesthetic to one of adidas’ most coveted models, the NMD_CS1 (NMD City Sock). The shoe features a full textured Primeknit construction in black, placed atop the NMD’s signature Boost tooling with EVA plug inserts.
The apparel presents adidas’ iconic track suit in two colorways with a full-zip track top and a tapered track pant.
The adidas Originals by United Arrows & Sons will be available in Singapore at Limited Edt on March 25. The NMD City Sock retails for S$299 and the tracksuit costs S$359.
