Remember when the Adidas NMD exploded into the sneaker scene? It was a sustained period of success for the brand, which saw in various NMD models brought into the fold. While we have even more models now, there’s no forgetting the original NMD R1, and of course, the incredibly sleek Adidas NMD CS1 – also called City Sock. The sneaker’s popularity rose due to its clean colorway and sleek design that captured the essence of urban and running style. If you’re still a fan of the model despite the shift in sneaker trends, this month Adidas NMD CS1 will return in its original form in two colorways – black, and white.
This time, the model will feature an additional design detail that’s almost similar to Nike’s Uptempo lineup – the massive “NMD” graphic which takes over the lateral side of the sneaker. The black pair comes with a blacked-out Boost midsole, beautifully contrasting the white “NMD” graphic and EVA blocks. This is reversed in the white Adidas NMD CS1, which sees the large text in black along with contrasting EVA plugs as well.
The Adidas NMD CS1 will be available on Adidas.com this Saturday, May 18. Check back with us for more updates on the drop.
