Unveiled: leaked image of an Adidas x Game of Thrones Ultraboost spurs collab rumors
The Adidas x Game of Thrones collab will celebrate the end of the fantasy series.
The grey colorway featured is known as “Stark” after the noble fantasy family in Winterfell.
According to Twitter user @theyeezymafia, there is a potential Adidas x Game of Thrones collab currently in the works. The Twitter user released an image rendering, along with the collab’s potential release date earlier on Monday, July 2.
Based on the image, it looks like the collaboration will utilize the popular Adidas Ultraboost silhouette. The shoes will come in a grey colorway and feature a scaley gray upper along with matching laces. Other unique details include black accents and a gold ‘Ultraboost’ branding on the heel of the shoes. In addition, the shoes will also feature the words “Winter is Coming” on its heel tag as an homage to Jon Snow.
More iterations could appear in the collaboration
Sources such as pipt.com speculate that the collection could include six other colorways – representing each of the different houses in the series. If this is true, fans can expect to see colorways modeled after popular houses such as Targaryen and Lannister.
Release date and availability
The Adidas x Game of Thrones collaboration is said to release sometime in 2019. The year will also mark the end of the fantasy series, after releasing its eighth series.
