The very first Adidas ZX 2K Boost dropped in May, in a retro-inspired mint green and white colorway. Today, Adidas drops the sneaker in a slew of modern and striking colorways.
The sneaker blends the past and present with a design that draws inspiration from various classic ZX releases. The mesh upper and wedge-like design is a nod to ZX sneakers that dropped back in the ‘80s and ‘90s. However, instead of the classic multi-layered construction, Adidas gave the sneaker a sock-like upper. Combined with the modern accent pieces and overlays, the ZX 2K Boost is a true reinterpretation of the timeless running line.
The Boost midsole has been executed in a unique fashion as well. Most notably, the Boost around the heel cap is encased and is paired with a hollowed-out design underfoot. This would allow the Boost to expand inwards while remaining stable. A unique solution that would address the mushiness of the Boost technology.
A total of 12 new colorways are now available at adidas.com.sg, each one retailing for S$200.
