This will mark the first release of the adidas ZX 500 RM, the latest adidas sneaker to join the lineup. But, it might not actually seem all brand new. This new sneaker is, in fact, a modern upgrade of adidas’ popular sneaker of the past, the ZX 500.

Nothing much separates this new silhouette from the past model, albeit, the more streamlined look – typical of modern-day sneakers. But with the addition of BOOST midsoles, no one’s really complaining. The uppers utilize a mix of suede and mesh and will come in two muted colorways with just a touch of color.

One, a predominantly black colorway with a tinge of Clear Orange adding color to the EVA stabilizers and tongue flap’s Trefoil logo. The other, however, appears in a grey colorway supplemented with the familiar Scarlet Red color on the tongue flap as well as the heel – reminiscent of classic adidas footwear colorways.

If you’re looking for a sneaker that captures the retro spirit while still providing your feet with the comfort of modern innovation, this might just be the kicks for you.
