Update: August 4, 2:20 pm (Singapore time)
The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Satin Snake” drops on August 6. Head over to Nike SNKRS or End Launches to cop yourself a pair.
This week, The Last Dance, a docuseries about Jordan’s ascension to superstardom premiered on Netflix, and it has served only to remind us all what a legend Michael Jordan is. That the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Satin Snake” is dropping in this context make it all the more exciting.
The sneaker fuses three types of leather and fabrics Jordan brand is known to play around with. First up is the snakeskin leather, first seen on the Air Jordan 11 “Snakeskin”. Just like AJ11, the snakeskin is used to accentuate the sneaker – appearing on only on the swoosh, heel cap and Swoosh. The rest of the sneaker’s upper resembles the “Chicago” colorway of the Air Jordan, constructed with a mix of white and red on smooth leather.
The tongue reels in the homerun. Jordan brand swaps out the usual mesh fabrics for a lush red satin. A classic black and red Nike Air tab on the top of the tongue completes the look.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Satin Snake” is incredibly well constructed and with its refreshing use of leathers and satin, it is bound to be an instant hit.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Satin Snake” is set to drop on August 15 for US$170 (approx. S$240.67). A Singapore release date has yet to be confirmed, so stay tuned for updates.
