The Air Jordan 3 SE “Fire Red” will drop on August 1.

Since 2001, Air Jordan shoes started carrying the Jumpman emblem in place of the retro Nike Air logo. A shoe that has both these logos? Now, that’s a break with convention, and possibly why the Air Jordan 3 SE “Fire Red” are hotly anticipated.

The sneaker is based on the “Fire Red” colorway that dropped in 2013. The Air Jordan 3 SE “Fire Red” will come with a white leather upper and denim elephant print accents in place of leather. An additional denim elephant print accent is added around the lace eyelets.

The Air Jordan 3 will sport fire red leather around the ankle collar. Instead of a white sock liner seen on the 2013 release, the new Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red” will come with a black sock liner. A similar change is made to the outsole, where the usual red accent now comes in black.

The star of the show is the translucent heel tab, which has the outline of the Jumpman logo. Looking through the Jumpman, you can see the bright red “Nike Air” logo shining through. This creates a sort of hybrid, 2-in-1 effect that carries both logos on the heel tab.

The Nike Air Jordan 3 SE “Fire Red” will drop on August 1 and is expected to retail at US$200 (approx. S$282.46). Stay tuned for more updates.
