The Air Max 270 Mercurial pack is a fitting tribute to the football boot’s illustrious 20-year history.
With the 2018 FIFA World Cup drawing closer, Nike draws on nostalgia to get fans buzzing.
Since its debut by the Brazilian Ronaldo in 1998, the Mercurial boot has graced a total of five FIFA World Cups in five iconic colorways. If you’re an avid football fan, then you are no stranger to these color schemes worn by Mercurial superstars on the biggest stage in world football.
The Air Max 270 Mercurial pack will be the first lifestyle sneaker to feature graphics directly inspired by football boots, featuring all five of the colorways from the FIFA World Cup events in 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014.
