Inspired by women: For her new Air Jordan 14 Low, Aleali May drew inspiration from her granny and great tita (aunt) Sue – two women she credits for helping her discover her personal identity.

The Air Jordan 14 Low represents their identities, which “isn’t just formed by what we wear, but by the actions we take”. It bears a mix of soft grey suede panels, black tongues, jade-like accents and a gold midfoot plate – a jewelry-like combination our mothers, aunts and grandmothers would approve of.

May unveiled the Air Jordan 14 with a note detailing the role her grandmother and aunt Sue played in her life accompanied by a picture of both women gracefully rocking the sneakers.

The sneaker will likely come in an extensive size range, offering sizes from US5W (US3.5) to US14.5W (US13) as seen with Aleali May’s earlier Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT. This keeps in line with a growing demand for gender-neutral sneakers.
