Beats By Dre announced the launch of the earphones via Instagram on April 4 (Singapore time).

Speculation has been rife about the impending release of the Apple Powerbeats Pro in the past few weeks. But now we have the official word from Apple and Beats themselves. The all-new “totally wireless” earphones have been added to Apple’s online website but will only be available in May. You may want to hold off on getting the AirPods 2. Why? Because the Apple Powerbeats Pro seems like a bigger, better, and more stylish version of the AirPods – albeit slightly pricier too. Here’s everything you need to know.

It comes in four colors

Choice is freedom and you’ll be glad to know that the new Apple Powerbeats Pro gives us just that. Among the four different color options are black, navy, moss, and ivory. Our top pick would have to be the sleek black iteration – especially since the latest AirPods 2 don’t come in that highly anticipated color.

Sounds like a complete upgrade

Beats and Apple have revamped the overall sound quality of the new earphones. You can expect powerful, balanced audio this time around, that, according to Apple, “delivers pure sound reproduction, enhanced clarity and improved dynamic range”. Well, it’s branded “pro” for a reason.
