In keeping with their reputation for durable workwear, Carhartt has upgraded the materials used on Converse Chuck 70 Icons Hi suchas the addition of toughened 12oz canvas upper. The Chuck 70 silhouette, which usually comes with OrthoLite insoles, is as comfortable as ever.
The colorways are a nod to a previous collaboration between the brands: The latest Carhartt WIP x Converse Chuck 70 Icon Hi sneakers will drop in a camo green and brown colorway, which are reminiscent of the SS19 release which comprised two low-top Chuck 70 Icon in “Camo Olive” and “Brown Duck” colorways.
The fabrics choice, prints and detailing are reflections of Carhartt WIP collections from yesteryear. The camo green colorway utilizes the brand’s signature woodland camouflage print that has been featured in their collections since the early 1990s while the brown colorway mirrors their staple “Hamilton-Brown” Double Knee Pant and Active Jacket.
Carhartt WIP puts the finishing touches such as special branding on the vintage license plates and insoles of the shoe, signifying the brand’s longstanding partnership with Converse.
