New Balance and Carhartt WIP’s Sculpture Center capsule collection is inspired by America’s local gyms. The New Balance x Carhartt WIP ‘Made in USA’ 990v1 arrives in a classic navy color scheme that’s accented with hits of light brown and traditional grey. The color scheme draws from the muted tonal walls of a Sculpture Center, a term to describe neighborhood gyms across America. Additional details include the EVA foam midsole, Vibram outsole, large heel clip and a “Made in USA” woven tongue label and reflective accents to complete the design.

The Carhartt WIP x New Balance 990v1 are now available. The pair will retail at US$194.99 (approx. S$272) and will be made available on the New Balance website, End Launches and Carhartt WIP Singapore.

Carhartt WIP adds New Balance to its carefully curated list of collaborative partners. In 2018, Carhartt WIP broke the sneaker scene by announcing its collaboration with Nike, coming out with four silhouettes to embrace utilitarian workwear: Carhartt WIP x Nike Air Max 95, Carhartt WIP x Nike AF1 Utility low, Carhartt WIP x Air Force 1 07 Premium ‘Ale Brown’ and Carhartt WIP x Nike Vandal Supreme high. Carhartt WIP also collaborated with Converse in 2019 and gave us the Carhartt WIP x Converse Chuck 70s that still remains elusive to many.
