CASIO Casio just unveiled a fresh global project with Nigo, one of streetwear’s most influential voices, putting a cultural spin on G-Shock’s shock-resistant DNA. The collaboration introduces a cast of original characters, a new project logo, and a creative universe that connects G-Shock’s heritage with street culture’s future.
At its core, the collaboration channels the spirit G-Shock has carried since day one: resilience, boldness, and the courage to push limits. Nigo takes this foundation and reinterprets it through characters that embody the essence of iconic models, creating a new cultural language for the brand. The project expands beyond watches into animations, visuals, and content that fuse toughness with playfulness.
Each character is inspired by a signature G-Shock model: the square-framed DW-5000, the triple-display DW-6900, the octagonal GA-2100, and the dimensional GA-110. Nigo’s designs infuse them with bold color schemes and streetwear sensibility, transforming product heritage into living mascots that represent G-Shock’s global community of risk-takers.
A custom “Nigo: G-SHOCK” logo anchors the G-Shock x Nigo Collaboration. The colon (:) is more than punctuation—it’s a nod to the hour-minute separator on a digital clock. It symbolizes the timeless sync between Nigo’s world and G-Shock’s enduring impact.
CASIO Nigo is more than a designer—he’s a cultural architect. From shaping streetwear in the 1990s with his original label, to launching Human Made, leading Kenzo as artistic director, and dropping collaborations with Louis Vuitton and Pharrell, his influence is everywhere. With this project, his creative vision now fuels G-Shock’s next era.
