Cecilie Bahnsen is partnering with Asics yet again to release a collaborative Asics GT-2160 in two colorways – silver and black. Though they had an exclusive drop on July 5, many were disappointed as they were not able to grab the pairs in time. If you were one of those who didn’t manage to get them during the first drop, look forward to July 19 as the kicks are set to receive a wider release on Asics.com and at select retailers.

This is not the first collab we’ve seen between the two parties. Their first collab debuted at Paris Fashion week last year and it was an absolute hit, flying off the shelves despite their luxury prices of up to €490 (approx S$725.86). The collection featured collaborative pairs of the GEL-1090, GEL-1130, GEL-Nimbus 9, GEL-Nimbus 23 and the GEL-Nimbus 24, which were Mary Jane-like in style.

This Cecilie Bahnsen x Asics shoe is no different, featuring the same Mary Jane vibe as the previous collab and the familiar floral style. Retaining elements of the original silhouette, the shoe undergoes subtle modifications, such as the omission of a tongue and conventional laces. Instead, a floral-inspired strap takes their place, accompanied by shortened strings. Additionally, the traditional mesh inserts are substituted with a translucent, synthetic material with intricate patterns. This finish creates a captivating contrast against the black patent and silver metallic color schemes used in the shoe’s construction.
