A year in the making: The collaboration sneaker features a trail sole, a design cue FTMD’s founder Tunway (aka Xiao Pi Hai) took from a Reebok Instapump Fury Trail he saw on Mita’s Instagram.

Futuremade Studio (FTMD) looks to the great outdoors for inspiration for the “Unknown Territory”, delivering a compelling story built around FTMD’s mascot, Morris, an urbanite who is just as familiar with the city as he is at home exploring nature.

The collaboration delivers two colorways: Dusk and Dawn which come in shades of blue, and sand and citron, respectively.

Deviating from the norm are the addition of trail soles and a strap for attaching the shoes to your bag or tent, giving these sneakers a decidedly utilitarian vibe, which keeps in step with the theme of exploration. The trail soles provide additional grip, making these suitable for all terrain.

The same superior cushioning that Instapump Fury is known for is found in these sneakers — they’re fitted with Hexalite technology that cushions impact as well as absorbs shock.
